This was a groovy and edgy volume, and another very nice cover. I actually thought it was Yamori (Jason) on the cover at first which confused me because he’s dead. But he is on the back cover…. W-w-w-w-whatevs.
The thing I disliked about the second season of the anime was the lack of Kaneki, which is thankfully not the same in the manga. I also didn’t like how he joined Aogiri Tree in the anime, like what the frick was that??? Why??? Unless he does also join it in the manga, but later on…. I really hope not.

I had great enjoyment seeing Kaneki look super edgy during this volume.

Ahhhhhhh. So nice.
There were lots of fights. I like how it’s somewhat realistic in that Kaneki is strong, but not ridiculously strong. Like, when versing another ghoul who has been perfecting his martial art for his whole life Kaneki didn’t pull out some random burst of power out of his ass to beat him, which is something that happens in lots of shonen manga/anime. Or that it didn’t take Kaneki one day of practice to be able to beat him in the rematch. Thumbs up, Sui Ishida.
