This Book is full of Spiders was fabulous! Absolutely wonderful! Never have I ever read a book that has ever even spiked the feeling of fear in me while reading, but this one did! I must say it was a long awaited moment and it was beautiful. Terrible, but beautiful. Nearing the end of the book I was feeling (and do still feel) very impressed!
After reading the first book, and some people saying this book wasn't as good, I must say my hopes were really low. This book's predecessor, 'John Dies at the End' was truly a mess and all over the place. Still a good read, but I digress. 'This Book is Full of Spiders' on the other hand, was much more organized and still was full of the weird insanity we all loved from the first book. I'm really impressed.
You can most definitely read this without reading the previous book first. If I were to suggest this book to someone, I'd probably just say read this book and enjoy it's succulence. Sure, there are some references to the first book that might leave one slightly confused, but Wong does a generally good job with filling the reader in.
