“What do you know?” Naga intoned sadly. “Beauty really is dead.”
Yasss book two of the Unfortunate Fairy Tale series!!!! This one was always my favourite of the three I read when I first read these way back in the day. It was a huge improvement on the first one because it was edited a lot better (still lots of editing errors) and it has more JARED!!!!!!!!
I have always been 110% team Jared. Fricken love him. This book has a lot of cute Jared moments that I loved years ago, and that I still love now. I don’t know what else to say about this book so I’m just going to copy all the annotations I made in my book ;) Actually, my Kobo is mean to me and it deleted all my annotations I made before 80%, so these are all from the last 20% of the book. //cries
Spoilers, obviously.

Cute Jared Moments
“Mina, I never left you,” he spoke softly. “I never once left your side, unless you left me.”
Mina held the Grimoire in her hands and could almost feel the book take an audible sigh. “You ready?” She asked the book.
“It’s about time,” Jared spoke loudly next to her.
Fuck, my ovaries are gone in a fiery explosion.
Mina touched his cheek with his hand and wiped away a stray tear. “No, who was she to you?” He wouldn’t look at her.
“Probably the only one who ever really cared about me.” He pressed his lips together firmly and she could see that he was steeling himself, getting ready to hide behind his stony mask.
“That’s not true.” Mina pressed her forehead to Jared’s, trying to comfort him. “I care.”
Yassss.
Once they were on the stairs, she realized that she was still holding hands with him. She tried to pull away, but Jared held onto her hand firmly.
Jared wants it.
Other stuff.
What was up when Brody kissed Mina in Chapter 24? Talk about random, and it’s even weirder when you consider how he’s Nan’s “true love” apparently.
Peter’s body stiffened in anger, and he turned and punched Brody in the face. Brody wasn’t expecting it and was knocked to the pavement. Peter stood above Brody, yelling down at him. “I blame you for this,”
I really don’t know how Brody handled it, because everyone kept telling him how it’s his fault. Like thanks guys, he really needs to be reminded about that as much as possible. (hide spoiler)]
