My rating: 3 of 5 stars
Ugh I’ve been reading this book for almost a month now, and it’s finally done! Until I read the end, a couple minutes ago, I was hell-bent on this being a two star book. But the end… I repeat: UGH! Loved it. So yeah, I dunno, maybe it’s a 2 star, maybe a 2.5. EDIT: I've changed my rating to three stars because you know what, this book does not deserve a mere two stars. The more I think about it, the more I appreciate this novel.
Why was this book such a struggle for me? IT WAS SO SLOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Oh my god! There was so much talking, I feel like that was the main contributor to the slow-ness. The best parts, the parts where I was actually enjoying myself, were when they were actually doing things!!! Those parts were cool. The pacing just really killed it for me.
What I really did like, besides the “action” scenes, where the characters! All of them! They were pretty cool people. I don’t know what else to say about that, but it was definitely a contributor to my (though so little) enjoyment of this book. (view spoiler)
Also the end, like I said. ‘Twas sick.
