This was a nice little (huge) conclusion to the ever-more expansive mortal instruments series. Cassandra Clare really knows how to roll in the cash, I tell you. Or her manager, whoever makes the decisions. Between The Mortal Instruments, The Infernal Devices, and now another spin-off series, The Dark Artifices, Clare is balling. I myself have no plan to read the Infernal Devices aka giant prequel trilogy, especially because this book spoils it. Also because ain't nobody got dimes for that. Which is completely false because hella fans have read that series. I might read the next series (trilogy?) because I'm curious about Simon and Izzy. But I have a striking feeling that series migh centre around Emma... If that's the case then... maybe not.
I really disliked Emma. It felt like Clare was trying too hard to make Emma seem like some little badass, and it just wasn't working for me.
All in all, good book. Cool stuff. Lots of events occurs, and twists and things. I was kind of left with this sad feeling, because of insufficiently answered questions. But thats what the next series is for! (Dang it Clare).
*EDIT* I have zero plans to ever read anything written by Cassandra Clare again.
