This book was... weird... The art was nice. Exactly what you would expect from looking at the cover, really. But back to weird... I found myself thinking this a couple times whilst reading, and it was the word that came to me upon turning the last page. I don't know if I can pin-point anything specific, it just felt generally weird. Now I'm not saying that that was necessarily a bad thing, I'm just saying.
The ending didn't really feel like an ending. I am still left with some questions. Like what was the point of dropping in that whole Elizabeth/Sean fiasco if they were never going to mention it again? To show how everyone's messed up? I want to know what happened with them! Probably because I share Elizabeth's name, but still.
Plus there was the usual teenage self-pity party going on. The whole, "She's so perfect and she's athletic so she has a nice body and a boyfriend, I HATE HER!!!" Like how bitter can Anya be? Very. If you don't like something about yourself, change it! God! Unhappy with your weight? Join a gym! Jog! Stop eating junk! That's what I did and no regrets. And I'm the same age as Anya, so no excuses. I am proud of her for trying in gym that one time, even though it was just for a boy, still.
