My rating: 4 of 5 stars
3.5/5 stars
I enjoyed this volume more than the first volume for two reasons: there was less prominent misogyny, and there was more soccer!
My biggest pet peeve in regards to sport-books is when they don't show enough of the actual sport, and focus more on the surrounding drama. The first volume had a looot going on. It was trying to set up a lot of background information and future plot-points, as well as trying to start the main conflict. This second volume flew by waaaay faster because it only has one thing: the whole volume was just the rest of the futsal match. And this was great! This is what I'm here for. Spooorts! So I enjoyed it. At the very end it sprinkled in some enticing hints at future conflicts which served as a nice spice to the end of the dish.
I'm definitely excited to continue with this series and see where it goes.
